Current Program
The Creative Indigenous Workshop Series is designed for Native-led small businesses and companies in fine arts, crafts, food, fashion, design, festival and cultural experiences, game design, film, media, music and entertainment (and more!). Whether you are just starting out or are expanding your business into new markets, these interactive, hands-on workshops propel you toward your goals and vision.
You will benefit from the expertise and mentorship of Native Max Media founder Kelly Holmes, Lead Faculty, and Creative Startups, which has accelerated over 510 BIPOC companies worldwide. Additionally, you join a growing, nationwide community of Indigenous entrepreneurs supporting one another and bringing Indigenous excellence to the business landscape.
Workshops are interactive discussions (no lectures!) and based in peer-to-peer learning, networking, lively discussions, and hands-on activities. We have never been accused of being boring!
You are welcome to register for one, two, or all three workshops.
Each workshop fee is $15.

As Native entrepreneurs our perspective is often unique and our approach to growing a business is attuned to the needs of our families and communities. This perspective can form the basis of a successful, sustainable business. Identifying your values and centering your unique market offering, as well as building a framework for making strategic decision, will help you as you grow your business and remain rooted in your values.
Developing a marketing plan to reach and engage your ideal customers can feel overwhelming. This workshop guides Native entrepreneurs to focus on building community as a key strategy for growing your audience and increasing sales. Marketing understood as a community building, relationship-centered set of activities enables more fulfilling and long-lasting relationships with customers while easing your workload and increasing efficiency.
There are three ways to build revenues for your business: Sales, sales, and sales. 🙂 Learn how to transform your sales process from an onerous task that you dread doing to a joyous extension of your customer relationships. Sales is a process, a methodology, and discipline that any entrepreneurs can learn, and all sustainable businesses rely on.
